The company's concern for socio-environment factors has triggered off substantial investment in meeting stringent environmental norms.

Embio is the first company in India to implement a bio-friendly Effluent Treatment System which has been recognized by the World Bank.

The ETP consists of a three stage process – The Primary treatment stage which involves an anaerobic bio digestor, followed by the Secondary treatment stage with an aerobic system and finally the Tertiary treatment stage which comprises of a dissolved Air filtration system & reverse Osmosis.

The final outlet is almost colorless & the levels of Chemical Oxygen Demand & Biological Oxygen Demand achieved are less than 250 & 100 respectively which amounts to 99.8% removal of the initial effluent load.

The effluent is recycled to generate Methane rich biogas, which serves as a fuel for steam generation and helps in conserving fuel too.

The solid waste generated is used as manure for agriculture.
